Introduction
Program Objective
The Master programs develop the tools and skills that students will need in the business world. Upon completion of this program students are able to: ascertain an organization’s financial situation; develop plans to further development; analyze external economic and market factors that impact the organization; apply quantitative methods to aid decision making and; present findings and recommendations to the ultimate decision-makers while considering legal and ethical implications.
Program Description
All courses are taught utilizing the case method which immerses the students in actual situations faced by real enterprises and requires students to derive, present and defend solutions among alternatives presented by fellow students. This method involves active student participation and stimulates the development of critical thinking. The program develops skills in the areas of accounting, finance, marketing, operations, human resources and economics among others. The Master in Business & Finance program develops, in particular, the areas of general management and finance. Special emphasis is placed on the management of the finance function such as knowledge of financial accounting, financial law, financial markets and decision-making tools. All Master programs require 42 credit hours for graduation. Students are expected to enroll in 12 credit hours per semester which would allow completion of all requirements in about 14 to 16 months if enrolled continuously. The cost of tuition for the programs is $5,880.
