Distance Learning

Introduction

The program is an online program consisting of 8 taught modules of 25 credits each, five of which are core modules and three of which are elective modules linked to a specialist stream, culminating in a 40 credit research dissertation. Modules can be taken continuously full-time or spread over a longer period part-time, depending on the circumstances and needs of the student. Each taught module lasts seven weeks and the teaching materials are available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week during this period. Research is supervised by an instructor with a PhD in a structured format over a 14-week period, culminating in a master's thesis which is examined both internally and externally.

During taught modules, students interact virtually with their instructor and classmates. The number of students taking a module is limited to 30, encouraging personalized interaction and sharing of knowledge and experiences among students from diverse backgrounds. Module materials and access to the e-library are available 24 hours 24/7 for the entire duration of the modules and throughout the duration of the dissertation, via a specially designed virtual learning environment (VLE). Through EAV, in addition to their module materials, students can instantly access thousands of the latest versions of textbooks and journals from Unicaf University's e-library to support their work. The recommended textbooks and the entire e-library are directly accessible to the student from their EAV platform in one click. Through the online library help desk, students can request other reading materials they may need.
