Graduates from a HAK, HLBA or another school with a corresponding economic orientation can apply for the first phase of study to be credited. You can jump straight into the second section. The study effort is thus shortened by two lecture semesters. However, crediting examinations does not reduce the minimum study time of six semesters.
bachelor thesis
In the bachelor's program, a bachelor's thesis must be completed at the end of the course. The scope is 8,000 - 12,000 words. In the bachelor thesis, the theoretical knowledge and concepts imparted during the course are applied in relation to a self-selected topic. The topic must be agreed with the supervisor and registered with the study department. The planned processing time for the bachelor thesis is usually one to three months. After the written elaboration, an oral defense (presentation/discussion) is planned.
exams
Depending on the module, various exams are planned in the form of online open book exams and/or assignments (analysis, case studies, essays or term papers). For online open book exams, we offer several exam dates each year. Submissions can be requested at any time. Both forms of examination can be worked out from home with a PC/laptop in compliance with the guidelines.
Bologna process
In order to achieve a harmonization of the European educational landscape, the Bologna process introduced in 1999 was taken into account by switching to the internationally customary three-level system in March 2006 in Austria. Accordingly, six semesters (180 ECTS) are required for doctoral studies at the 1st level (Bachelor) and four semesters (120 ECTS) at the 2nd level (Masters) in order to gain the opportunity for further doctoral studies at the 3rd level.
