Ideal Students
The GHU ideal student
The GHU online student possesses distinctive qualities. Our students consist primarily of working professionals who are seeking to improve their opportunities and boost their careers. Traditional on-campus programs of course remain, but the virtual classroom and online programs are now standard around the world. Private and public online universities are surging, and companies are using the online model to educate their employees.
A GHU student is open-minded about sharing life, work, and educational experiences as part of the learning process. GHU students find that the online process requires them to apply their experiences to their studies. Our GHU Online Campus eliminates the visual barriers that hinder some students from articulating themselves. Students are given time to reflect on the information before responding.
GHU students are good at written communication, support themselves, and are self-motivated, and self-disciplined. GHU students are willing and able to commit 10 to 15 hours per week to their studies. They should be able to meet the minimum requirements for the programs they are pursuing. The requirements for online programs are no less than that of any other on-campus educational program. The successful GHU student will view online studying as a convenient way to receive his/her education – certainly not an easier way.
The GHU online student is expected to:
- Be able to work with others in completing projects
- Be able to use the technology properly
- Be able to meet the minimum standards as set forth by the GHU
- Be able to complete assignments on time
- Enjoy communicating in writing
