Who Should Apply?
Emerson’s online BCE graduate program is designed for artists and creative individuals looking to gain a better understanding of the business side of their creative industry or career. Housed in the School of Communication, the program attracts students who majored in and/or worked in creative fields like fashion design, music, graphic design, or fine arts and want to advance their careers with a business-focused education to round out their professional skill set. Driven by shared values of inclusion, ethics, and finding a sense of purpose in their work, our students go on to pursue leadership, management, and entrepreneurial roles in their creative industries.

Curriculum
Emerson College’s online Business of Creative Enterprises (BCE) graduate program consists of a 32-credit curriculum that can be completed in 16 months. Housed in the School of Communication, the program begins and ends with a 2-credit, live immersion experience that takes place online over the course of a weekend.
All other core and elective coursework in the online BCE MA program (besides the Immersion) is asynchronous and ranges from 2 to 4 credits.
The Experience: Immersion 1 & 2
At the beginning and end of your program, you will participate in a mandatory weekend-long Immersion course. These 2-credit courses will take place the first weekend of your first and the last weekend of your graduating semester and are fully online and synchronous.
