Courses are individual units of study that can be taken singly or as a series of classes concentrated in a specific area of study. Individual classes can vary in length, cost, and number of sessions per week.
Early childhood is used to define childhood development from birth to around age eight. Learning about early childhood and working to develop valuable educational programs may help children to better reach their potential during their childhood, as well as all the way through to adulthood.
Education in the United Kingdom is a devolved matter with each of the countries of the United Kingdom having separate systems under different governments: the UK Government is responsible for England, and the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Executive are responsible for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively.

The Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools (QCF) – Level 3 Course is available to learners 16+ who are working within a school, particularly in the role of a Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. It is a competency-based qualification which requires students to be employed in a school setting or to have placement. In particular, it is for those members of the school workforce who directly support teaching & learning of pupils in an area that requires specialist knowledge and skills.
The qualification is designed for those learners already working or volunteering in a learning support role in a school environment who want to develop their knowledge and skills or confirm occupational competency. There is a requirement for assessment in a real work environment so learners must have a placement (either as a volunteer or as a member of staff) in a school environment. Learners must be at least 16 to take this qualification....

Childcare is a competitive industry, and employers increasingly look for job applicants holding nationally recognised qualifications. This CACHE course provides successful learners with a Level 3 qualification especially designed for those looking to work with children ages 0-5 in a professional childcare setting.

It should be stressed, however, that the Award itself is a valuable standalone qualification in its own right, and will be especially useful to those looking to boost their CV with a view to working with children in a supervised capacity. It would also be suitable for those already working in childcare as a piece of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)....
